Kennecott

This past weekend at Kennecott was family day. Since my bro-in-law, Scott, works at Kennecott we were invited to go for a visit. We got to ride in a fancy-schmancy bus up to the pit. Ruby HAD to sit with Grandma Deb.

They had a lot of the equipment on display for the family members to view and climb on. One of Scott's buddies-Abdul, works on one like this.

This big ole machine is what Scott works in.

We had to wait in a super long line to go in this monster. Here is Cassi with the kids by an enormous tire. Where is Sweet Lew? Oh, he was at home working on his homework. Poor guy. His last day is tomorrow for the semester. I'm really proud of him for always working so hard and sticking it out. He missed out on so many fun things and never complains.

Kids in the driver's seat!
Here is the XXXL dump truck. As we were coming down the stairs Zane told me he wanted one for his birthday.
Scott is on the Emergency Response Team at work. He has learned all kinds of cool stuff and gets to rescue people. We got to play around with all the firefighter gear. Here is Bay looking beautiful in a helmet.
Zaner boy as a firefighter.

This is the backside of the dump truck.
Kennecott was very generous to let us come up there. They gave everyone lunch and ice cream and a backpack with all kinds of goodies. We had lots of fun! I recommend a visit if you have never been there before.

That was a very big tire. Crazy! Zane looks so cute in that firefighter stuff! I think he's found his career!

Fun! And I love the camping trip post too. So funny. A few years ago we went to Payson Lakes & when we got there and opened the trailer, we realized our cat Chloe had stowed away on one of the bunk beds. She HATED camping!
