Zaner is 5!!!!

My sweet little guy is 5! Way back in April, Zane turned 5! When the kids are in preschool at Aunt Sand's they get to have a special day. It is their "spot light". It is for their birthday and they get to have their mom come and talk to the class and show pictures. They also bring a treat. The kid gets to be the boss for the entire day. And Zane totally lived it up!

This is a picture of the cupcakes that I took to Zane's school. He wanted bugs on his cupcakes.
This is a picture of Teacher holding Zane. She sang Happy Birthday to Zane and bounces him and flips him around. It's so adorable how much she loves him. He really felt special that day.
I took a ton of pictures to show his friends at school. After I show all the pictures, Zane gets to pick his friends to come up and pick their favorite picture. Want to know the overall favorite? A picture that Zane wanted in the bunch- a picture of Lew's truck with the tent on top. Typical boys. Teacher told me that Zane has a such a kind heart. He is always nice to everyone in class and always listens to her or Mrs. Jensen. He is a fun boy that is very, very sweet.Things were pretty hectic for us during Zane's birthday. We only had a few pieces of furniture left in our house before the move. Boxes were piled every where. After he opened his presents in the morning, Ruby went to school and Lew to work.

Zane and I went to Costco to pick up his birthday cake. There was a huge power outage in the whole area. Toys R Us was closed, traffic lights were not working, and what-do-you-know, Costco was closed! Lucky for us they had all the cakes made before the power went out and they were able to give us Zane's. The nice lady showed Zane the cake and asked him if he liked it? He immediately started to cry. About a week before, Zane had told me that he wanted a cake with Spiderman on it. Since things were too hectic with moving, I just got a cake with a dinosaur on it and stuck a few superheros on top. Lucky for me, Zane was pleased with the toys and had no more complaints.

It was a short day for Ruby so we picked her up and took Zane to a surprise location. We meet Baylee, Deegan and my mom there. Cassi had another hand surgery, so she was a little drugged up to party. We surprised Zane by going to a bounce house in West Jordan. We have gone to Kangaroo Zoo in North Salt Lake before. Zane loved it. So we took him to this one. It was a lot cleaner than Kangaroo Zoo. And there is no weight limit on the different bouncers, so I got to jump with them! It's great exercise! That night we had our family party for him. Everyone had to take a few boxes of our crap home with them. Ha!
